Employer Nomination Scheme visa (subclass 186) (employer nominated)

Direct entry stream: The employer is required to demonstrate that there is a genuine need to fill the nominated position for at least two years post visa grant, and that the salary paid is at least what an Australian would be paid in that role.

Temporary Residence Transition Stream: the employer demonstrates the above as well as demonstrate that the nominee was employed under the TSS scheme for a minimum of three years at the appropriate salary.

Some of the criteria to be met by the nominator and the nominee are set out below:

Occupation must be on the MLTSSL
Minimum competent English
Be under 45 years of age at the time of application
May require a valid skills assessment
Three years’ experience (within the employer’s business, depending on the stream)
Meet character and health criteria
